Religious Trauma Support Group This is a peer support group for folks who have had adverse religious experiences. We discuss relationship issues stemming from religious differences with loved ones. We also discuss negative impacts of purity culture. Most attendees are ex-Fundamentalist Christians, though folks with adverse experiences from any religion are welcome to join.
We follow the NAMI definition of a peer support group: "Offer support through understanding and empathy Share insights about similarities of experiences Solve problems by using the combined wisdom of group members Celebrate good times and be there during bad ones"
This group is open to people in Pennsylvania. Meets every other Sunday at 10am EST. Cost to attend: $20/session.
